DAY TWENTY FOUR: Tortoiseshell sunglasses, Polaroid


I spent most of this weekend wishing I was waking up in Palm Springs at Coachella and the rest shaking my fist at the sky over the fact that I wasn't there. However, the sunny skies in London meant that I could at least pretend that I was there with the hipster masses by swanning around my garden in these awesome oversized sunnies from Polaroid.


They're part of the Heritage range that has seen the company dig out their archive of styles and recreate designs from every decade, starting from the 1930s. There's some lovely cats eye styles from the 1950s that I also want to get my hands on for a touch of retro glamour. They're also great as all of the styles are polarised, meaning that they block out a lot of the glare that other sunnies don't and they turn my iPhone screen green which is always weird but fun.

DAY TWENTY THREE: Light tortoiseshell aviators, Carrera

Sorry for once again posting so late, I fell asleep after dinner. Do these look familiar to you? If you’ve been following 30 Days from the start, probably as these are the same as DAY EIGHT but they’re a really light, almost red tortoiseshell instead of dark frames like the previous pair. Unfortunately the light in this photo doesn’t really do them justice but as my nose currently resembles something out of a horror movie I figured this manner of shooting was much kinder!

These are my new-er pair of the two and when I was selecting them, I err-ed and aahed about whether to get another almost identical pair or change it up. But again, I figure if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

DAY SEVENTEEN: Dark tortoiseshell square ‘Marclay’ sunglasses, Oliver Peoples

The weather has been more up and down than Jodie Marsh’s knickers today so I teamed these sunnies from Oliver Peoples with my trusty cropped parka and an umbrella, covering me for all manner of weather emergencies when I popped out to a press day at lunch time. Definitely a good thing as the weather fluctuated between frequent mini monsoons and baking sun.

DAY EIGHT: Dark tortoiseshell aviators, Carrera

It’s a grey miserable day and I’m feeling a little under the weather with a set of swollen tonsils as well as being at work, so I felt that today warranted some big ‘ole dark glasses. These awesome giant aviators from Carrera have been named as the style of the season by Sunday Times Style magazine, which is just as well as I have two pairs. Expect to see the others very soon!
